Brotherly Love

"Sis, when you and Jake get married and move in together, I think you should take baby steps. Like, first bunkbeds, then move into trundle beds, then 2 twin sized beds a foot apart, then finally a queen....but with cardboard in the middle." Aaron Morris age: 15

swoon.

Brief list of things I adored about the Royal Wedding
1. LACE! ARE WE KIDDING ABOUT THAT GOWN?!?!?!  Kate Middleton Wedding Dress

2. William and Harry. Having 4 of them, there is a very special place in my heart for brothers.

3. The Queen's attire. Duh.

4. Kate's brother read Romans 12! My favorite chapter of the Bible EVER! I cried.

5. The Beckhams. Too hot for their own good.

6. The kiss on the balcony. Swoon. swoon. swooooooooooon.

just good ol fashion joy!

I was quite the grumposaurus rex this morning when it hit me that spring break is officially over. Now, as I'm sitting here on the 3rd floor of the FSU library, I am suddenly overwhelmed with joy. Yeah, sure, maybe I failed my 30 day challenge, but my cup still runneth over.
Here I am doing a research paper defending Dr. Seuss while the girl next to me has a million biochem text books open. This isn't just another "Liberal Studies majors have it easy" brag-fest. I just truly truly 100% am beyond obsessed with my career of choice. All I want to do in life is sit and read books to an autistic child. Obviously this isn't all my job will entail, but that little image makes my heart all melty!
Also, I've made it a habit of checking my email every 3 seconds for RSVP's. I literally almost get chocked up every time I see another person who is so so so precious to us say they are coming. It's overwhelming. June 17th is going to be the legitest day ever :)
Lastly, it's such a relief to have had such a productive week. Yeags and I got some fun crafty projects done plus worked on our slideshow PLUS picked out our wedding bands. Sidenote: It was our bright shining lucky day because after being totally confused why my top 2 choices of bands were completely different prices when they had the exact same layout, carats, clarity, and color we went with the one that was half the price with the other (obviously). WEEELLLLL after we left the place (which is the cutest family owned place with the sweetest people you'll ever meet) we got a call that they hadn't marked the ring up yet and the tag was the wholesale price. They kindly offered to still give it to us for that price and we excitedly accepted. So basically we got my band for 1/2 of what it was supposed to be. Amazing right?! Plus it's going to be the most beautiful wedding set I've ever seen. PLUS Jake's ring is super rad too. Except he doesn't officially now which one I'm going to pick. Poor guy needs a little fun in his life too.

Anyways, just needed to document this current joy. Back to One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

Day 28 :)

Something I dream about.

Literally, I dream about solving murders with the cast of Criminal Minds and that Jake and I will forget to say our vows at the wedding.

BUT

Figuratively, I dream about spending every day of my career life giving love to children who need it. I dream of giving them the comfort of knowing they are understood. I dream of reading them stories and teaching them simple things like how to order at a restaurant and that a smile means happy. I dream of the possibility of being able to show a glimmer of God's love to His very own angels.

Day 27 :)

A picture of a smiley face, heart, peace sign, or some other symbol of happiness.

Hahahahahaha this is without a doubt, one of my favorite pictures EVER. Jake, Eric, Aud, and I went camping and boating with the Yeagers a few summers back. To keep with Yeager tradition, the first night at Shaver Lake always includes Shaver Lake Pizza. When we brought it back to the campsite, we found this little guy. Amazing, right?!
