On our friend's game nights everybody would save their "wedding" card in Apples to Apples for me. It was always my trump card. Even if the adjective was 'disgusting', I would still pick 'wedding'. It's just a fact.
Far before I met Jake Yeager or even Chris Henslick, I would spend time browsing David's Bridal. Now, unfortunately for my parental unit, I have been introduced to Jim Hjelm, but my hobby still remains in tact. I love a beautiful bride, a glowing groom, a fun favor, or a lovely local. It literally refills my body with serotonin. I'm sure of it. Anywho. I'm sitting in Computer Applications learning about Powerpoint. Aka I'm browsing my fav wedding blog and getting teary eyed. Figured I'd let you in on my very own fantasies. Ps. If any of you associated directly to my life steal these ideas, I swear to Michael Scott (only because I don't swear to God) I will boycott your nuptials. This is 2o years in the making, peeps.
Kris, i swear we are twins separated by 12 yrs...i thoughts exactly, and the fact that i didn't get my dream wedding still haunts me, but i have Megan to look forward too.
ReplyDeleteI still look when we pass a window with a bridal gown, i love looking at wedding favor selections. They are getting cuter and cuter every year.
and hearing Pachelbel's Canon makes me get shivers. I walked down the aisle to that.
ooh and if you can't be in the wedding party, I LOVE to win the center pieces. hmm, i'm going to have to e-mail you all my wedding memories, this is getting too long
NICE!!! Let me just say this: whatever kind of wedding you want, begin saving now!!!!(Unless you have folks who will drop $20,000 or more for ya...mine just couldn't.) And the thing to remember is to have fun, be relaxed, and make it easy for your guests to have fun. The day is about you, but if I know you at all (and I'm not saying that I do), you will want your guests/friends to say "we had a blast at your wonderful, beautiful wedding!!" There are things that I would have changed about ours, even though it was wonderful! I still love that look on the grooms face when he sees his bride. I never look at her...I look at him. That look is priceless. Love ya!
